Mrs. Ketcham and Mrs. Oldham’s morning preschool class and Mrs. Mikesell’s third grade class are reading buddies this year! The third graders meet with younger students once a week to read together. We have great leaders in our third grade classrooms!
Our students enjoyed a day of celebrating on October 19th! The student body has been hard at work to reach their academic WIGs (Wildly Important Goal) by the end of the first 9 weeks. Way to go, students!
School Nurse, Mindy Hensel, held a “clean” clinic with some of our second graders. All students that entered the clinic were asked to wash their hands! The students were also shown demonstrations of germ activity and had some fun learning about taking care of yourself to prevent the spread of germs.
As the temperature gets colder there is always an increase in sickness and viruses at school. The best way to prevent the spread of germs is to wash your hands!
We are lucky to have a great staff of Special Area teachers! (not pictured: Mrs. Dyer, Mr. Gilbert)
Students in Mrs. Frey’s 3rd grade class were able to meet with Mr. Hewett and learn more about fire safety!
Ms. Jesionowski’s class puts the Leader in Me Habits to work…
“Students synergizing to make puzzles! Together is better!”
Mrs. Gammon’s 3rd grade class has been recognized for working through a great problem solving lesson! The third graders worked together to save Sam from his capsized boat.
Our kindergarten classes work together to assemble Mat Man! A special song is played and the children help assemble Mat Man. This helps the children with body parts so they can draw themselves when writing narratives!
2nd grade students participated in a fire prevention poster contest. The winners were able to take a ride in a Kenton Fire Department fire truck!
