1st Grade Program Notice

Music Notes

The Kenton Elementary School first grade students will present their musical on Thursday, April 27th at 7 PM in the Kenton Elementary School gymnasium.  The Dress Rehearsal will be at approximately 12:00 PM that same day.  Grandparents and parents who work nights may attend this rehearsal.

Students should begin to arrive at Kenton Elementary School on Thursday, April 27th at 6:30 PM and go to their classrooms.  PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW SO THAT ALL STUDENTS IN FIRST GRADE AT KENTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ARE IN ATTENDANCE.

The program is called “The Cheese Stands Alone.”  Come join Cheesy and his friends on the farm for some musical fun.

COSTUMES:
Costumes for special characters will be provided (a separate note for just those students will come home next week).  Everyone else:  wear any of the following:  blue jeans, flannel or plaid shirts if you own one, cowboy or straw hats if you own one, cowboy boots, “cheese heads” like the Green Bay Packers (please, no Packers jerseys, though), etc…  You do not need to buy anything new, and these are just suggestions and you don’t need all of these things, just whatever you have.

PARKING:
If your child is in Mrs. Root (Miss Augur), Mrs. Gerding, or Mrs. Cook’s classes, please park in the back parking lot (where the buses park) and enter through the back door.  If your child is in Miss Brim, Mrs. Eibling, or Miss Zoeller’s classes, please park in the front parking lot and enter the school through the front door.

As an added bonus this year, those students who attend the night performance will receive an extra recess during a music class!  If 100% of any individual class is in attendance, that class will be rewarded with a munchie/cookies/movie day during a music class.

If your child needs a ride to the evening performance, please contact the school office.  If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
