Quiz Bowl Team

The Kenton Middle School Quiz Bowl Team includes grades 6th – 8th.  They compete in several competitions from February through April.  Most of the competitions involve the team players buzzing in and answering questions on a wide variety of topics.

This season, the KMS Quiz Bowl Team competed in the Coldwater Tournament, the St. Mary’s Social Studies Tournament, the Hardin County Tournament, and the Van Wert Invitational.  They won at the St. Mary’s Tournament and that’s only the second time Kenton has won at that event.  They still have two tournaments left – Friday, April 8th at Wright State Lake Campus and Saturaday, April 9th in Columbus.

Below are pictures of the team at various competitions:

Don’t Forget – Kroger Community Rewards!

Kroger makes a donation to Kenton Elementary School on a quarterly basis, based on the amount of money parents spend on groceries at Kroger.  The program gives parents an easy way to support KES.

A Kroger’s grocery bill of any size can easily rack of a lot of points.  All you have to do is register your Kroger Plus Card online at: and choose “Kenton Elementary School” as your Community Rewards recipient.  Continue to shop as you normally do.  Your purchases will only count towards Kenton Elementary School after you register online.

Please note that enrolling in the program does not impact how you use your own Kroger coupons/points/savings or fuel reward discounts.  Your Kroger card/reward number can only be linked to one organization at a time.  The Kroger Company has set aside $5 million dollars for the Kroger Community Rewards Program.
